History of Lublin Union Arbitrage

Lublin Union Arbitrage started work in March 2017. The first office was in a small room at ul. Narutowicza. Since then, we have closed 124 commercial disputes. Most of them concerned companies from the Lublin region and near Puław. We do not look for the guilty, because it only wastes time and money. We focus on making sure both sides can continue to run business without blocking bank accounts by bailiffs.

In 2019, we resolved a conflict between a carrier and a wholesaler from Germany. The case concerned 14 delayed deliveries and contractual penalties amounting to 42,300 euros. Instead of going to court for 3 years, we sat down for talks in our office at Krakowskie Przedmieście. After 4 meetings, the parties signed a settlement. Discretion is our standard, so no one in the industry found out about the temporary payment problems of these companies. By the way, we have our own parking for clients, which in the city center greatly facilitates fast meetings.

Local furniture manufacturers often come to us when a contractor does not collect a batch of goods. Over the last 3 years, we have conducted 19 such cases. The average time from reporting to the issuance of an arbitration award is 54 days with us. This is much faster than in common courts, where one sometimes waits 9 months for the first hearing. Clear rules of the game allow us to maintain a work pace without unnecessary papers. The average time of preliminary document analysis is 4.66 working hours with us.

Our team consists of 5 people. Each has at least 11 years of experience in commercial law or finance. We do not use difficult words so as not to disorient anyone. Court is a last resort, which is why we first check transport documents, invoices, and emails. In October 2023, we managed to save the financial liquidity of a construction company, recovering 87,500 PLN of a payment bottleneck in two weeks. We solve the problem, we don't look for the guilty.

Lublin is a city connecting east and west. We serve companies trading with contractors from Ukraine and Kazakhstan. In 2021, we resolved a dispute over the quality of steel components, where the value of the subject of the dispute was 112,000 PLN. Thanks to us, 31% of clients return for subsequent contracts so that we check their agreements before signing. We have been here for 8 years and plan to stay for subsequent decades, supporting the local market with concrete action.
